Alien Barrage uses Firebase Analytics to understand how the iOS app is used, improve gameplay balance and stability, and measure core app events such as app opens, sessions, gameplay progression, menu interactions, and in-app purchase flows. We do not use analytics to identify you by name for these purposes.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the Alien Barrage iOS app and describes the information processed through Firebase Analytics in the app's current configuration. If we add new features that materially change how data is collected or used, we will update this policy.
2. Information Collected Through Firebase Analytics
Firebase Analytics may process information associated with the app installation and the way the game is used, including:
- app instance and installation-level identifiers used to measure app usage;
- device and app information such as device model, operating system, app version, and build information;
- general location information derived from masked IP address information, such as country or region;
- app usage events such as app opens, sessions, menu taps, shop views, level completion, game over events, revive usage, and gameplay settings;
- in-app purchase analytics events such as product identifiers, placement of the purchase flow, price when available, and purchase outcome events.
3. What We Do Not Use For Analytics
In the app's current Firebase Analytics setup:
- we do not use Apple's precise Location Services for analytics;
- we do not use the device advertising identifier (IDFA) for analytics in the current app configuration;
- we do not set a Firebase Analytics user ID tied to your name, email address, or another account identifier.
Firebase Analytics may still use its own app-instance identifier and platform-provided installation or vendor-level identifiers needed to distinguish app activity.
4. How We Use Analytics Information
We use analytics information to:
- understand which parts of the game are used most often;
- measure gameplay progression and balance, such as level completion, difficulty settings, and revive usage;
- understand app store purchase funnels and product interest;
- improve app performance, content decisions, and future updates.
5. Third-Party Processing
Firebase Analytics is provided by Google. Analytics information is processed through Google's Firebase and Google Analytics services on our behalf. Please review Google's privacy information for more detail about how those services handle data.
6. Data Retention
Analytics data is retained according to the retention settings configured for our Firebase and Google Analytics services. Retention periods may change if those service settings are updated.
7. Your Choices
If you do not want analytics information associated with your use of Alien Barrage to be processed through Firebase Analytics, you should discontinue use of the app. You may also contact us with privacy questions or requests.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the app, analytics setup, or applicable requirements. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
