Privacy Policy

Last updated 17 October 2026

In short: your camera video, recordings and NVR details stay between your NVR and your Apple TV. ReoView has no account or server for your video. To see which features people use and fix crashes, the app sends usage events and crash reports to Google Firebase by default. These include a random app installation ID, but our events do not include your camera details or video. You can turn this sharing off in Settings › Privacy.

1. What this policy covers

This policy covers the ReoView app for Apple TV, made by Arnold Biffna ("we"). This website is covered in section 7.

2. App usage statistics and crash reports

Unless you switch off Share anonymous usage data in Settings › Privacy, ReoView uses Google's Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to send:

Our usage events use fixed feature and control names, not free text. We do not add camera names, NVR or camera addresses, usernames, passwords, snapshots or video to these events. We do not set a Firebase user ID or link the installation ID to a ReoView account, your Apple Account, your name or email. ReoView does not use the advertising identifier or use this data to track you across other apps or websites. Read more about Google's Firebase privacy practices.

To switch it off: Settings › Privacy › Share anonymous usage data. This turns off Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics collection from then on.

3. How the app connects

ReoView connects directly from your Apple TV to the Reolink® NVR you add, on your local network. Live video, snapshots and recordings travel only between your NVR and your Apple TV. To find your NVR, the app can search your local network; this search doesn't leave your network.

4. Information stored on your Apple TV

This information never leaves your Apple TV, except to sign in to your own NVR, and is never part of the usage statistics in section 2. Deleting a connection in the app, or deleting the app, removes it.

5. Purchases

ReoView Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple handles the payment; we don't receive your payment details or your Apple Account information. The app asks Apple whether Pro has been purchased on your Apple Account. If app usage sharing is on, Firebase Analytics may also record the purchase event and StoreKit product details, such as the product ID, name and price. Our analytics events do not include your payment card or Apple Account details.

6. Children

ReoView is not designed to collect names, contact information or camera content from anyone, including children. The usage and diagnostic data described in section 2 can include random installation identifiers and technical device information.

7. This website

The website uses Google Analytics directly, separately from the app's Firebase services, only if you select Allow analytics. Until then, no Google Analytics tag loads. If you allow it, Google Analytics uses a first-party cookie with a random browser identifier to measure page visits and sessions. ReoView's cookies are kept separate from analytics cookies used elsewhere on this domain. We also count App Store button clicks, support email link clicks and FAQ questions opened. These events use fixed page, section and question numbers; we do not send your email address, camera details, video or URL query strings as event details. Google Analytics may also process browser and device information and approximate location derived from your IP address. We do not enable advertising signals or personalization for this site.

Select Decline to keep the Google tag off, or change your choice at any time with Website analytics settings in the footer. If you email us, we use your email only to reply. See Google's privacy policy for how Google handles data it receives.

8. Changes

If what the app or this website collects changes, we'll update this policy before that change ships and change the date at the top.
